As part of the project, Varaks Construction carried out a comprehensive range of construction and installation works related to the construction of the substation and its associated infrastructure.

Cable pits and ducts were also constructed, with the associated works including excavation, drainage, geotextile installation, formwork, reinforcement, and concrete works.
As part of the overall project execution, we also constructed a concrete perimeter fence around the site.

Building company Varaks started the construction of the substation serving the photovoltaic power plant near Dobrich by setting out and surveying the site. The substation is a complex facility and its building began with mechanized excavation for the foundations using specialized heavy-duty construction equipment. Due to the presence of rock within the foundation area, additional rock breaking was required using a hydraulic breaker and excavator. The excavated soil and rocks were loaded and transported by dump truck.
After the completion of the mechanized excavation, the construction workers shaped the excavation manually and outlined the foundations. Formwork for the base concrete was then fitted and the required levels were established according to the different elevations specified in the design.
The base concrete was poured in stages to ensure precise compliance with the specified design elevations and construction phases. Then, the construction of the reinforced concrete foundations of the substation began.
Shuttering and reinforcement works are being carried out on site, including complex reinforcement detailing in accordance with the design requirements.
